Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.

Course description
Do you enjoy arts and crafts? Do you like meeting new people, as well as getting out into the community? If the answer is yes then this course will be perfect for you! Make your very own masterpiece in the company of like-minded people whilst learning a little history of Mosaic techniques and discovering local and well known artists who use these techniques within the mosaics skills, plus discover and learn all about mosaics as the course progresses. Develop and explore a fun method of making a colourful mosaic, using broken ceramic tiles and crockery. Design and develop your own piece using a variety of broken tiles of different colourful ceramic tiles and upcycleing old crockery as well as a number of different other items, such as beads and pebbles. Making your own fun decorative mosaic piece, either for your own home or as a present for someone special, lots of brightly coloured broken ceramic tiles and crockery will be used. Learn in a relaxed environment, led by our experienced Arts and Crafts tutor. Find out about other courses and who knows, this may be the start of your WEA journey!
