Course overview

Macramé is a creative knotting technique that can be used to make a variety of items, plant hangers, wall hangings, friendship bracelets, belts, and bags. including jewellery and other decorative items. It’s a great way to relax and create beautiful art pieces for your home. Learning new skill is to support learners with their health and wellbeing. Learn a new skill which may be a route into employment / self-employment. During this course your tutor will give you demonstration and individual attention for your guidance. In this course you will be working with a macramé cord and each learner will be able to complete a pot hanger. It can be used by you or can be gifted to the loved ones. This is a continuation of the improvers spring course, but all levels are welcome.

Course description

It’s super easy to get started with macramé – all you need is some macramé cord and a little bit of practice. Macramé is not difficult to learn! Although it may look complicated at first glance, macramé is a simple craft that anyone can learn to do.

Once you learn how to tie the basic macramé knots, you can combine them in different ways to create any pattern you can imagine You can make macramé with cords made from a variety of materials, including cotton, linen, jute, leather, or wool.

The right size cord will depend on the type of project you choose. You will be amazed that how therapeutic is this. You only require couple of things to get it started. It is very economical hobby which is so rewarding. It is good for your health and well-being. Keeps you busy in creating which is useful not only for you but you can gift it to your loved ones.

Personal colour choice and size makes it perfect for any occasion. It is not like one size fits all rather the beauty lies in customise article. Suitable for beginners, improvers and/or more experienced users.
