Course description
During this curse you will develop and gain more understanding of the construction industry and the roles and the responsibilities available to you and how to access them. We will look at work experience, apprenticeships in construction and other qualifications that will support you to move closer to your goals. The UK construction industry is renowned for high standards expected from both its workers and its employers. Learn what these expectations are and how you can meet these expectations a to support job applications. Discover which organisations offer construction opportunities and how to access these. Develop knowledge and awareness of other qualifications you may need to gain work within this sector and how to access these, such as a CSCS Card, Health and Safety within Construction. Develop digital skills by using the WEA’s online learning platform Canvas and gain confidence is using the various functions to complete tasks and upload work. Develop confidence is using your mobile devices for searching the internet and how to upload CV’s and complete job applications.
