Course overview
Course description
Canvas is the WEA’s digital learning platform. WEA Canvas courses teach you everything you need to know about studying with the WEA. By the end of this course, you will be able to use Canvas to:
contact your tutor and classmates
download and upload files
complete quizzes
take part in discussions
access additional support
This digital skills course prepares you to study online with the WEA. Canvas is used for both online and face-to-face courses.
If you want to learn digital skills not covered by this course, you may consider a general digital skills course that covers the use of a variety of apps and devices.
If you’re not sure which courses suit your needs, feel free to discuss your options with your WEA tutor who will be happy to advise you.
Please note that you’ll need access to the internet to take this online Canvas course. You’ll also need access to a digital device such as a laptop, phone, or tablet.
Classrooms haven’t changed much since the WEA was founded in 1903. But our attitude towards teaching has. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we promise to make your learning experience enjoyable.
Most of our courses are free for most of our learners. Please note that you need to get to the end of the enrolment process to see the discounts.
