Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.

Course description
This online Latin course will challenge your knowledge of grammar and syntax. Develop your language skills to be able to tackle complicated texts in Latin. Continue to improve your translation skills as you rework them into English.
Learning Latin gives you transferable knowledge to apply to any language learning. This fascinating language is considered the blueprint for modern languages.
By learning Latin for advanced levels, you’ll gain deep insight into the etymology of various European languages, including French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, and Romanian.
This course is for advanced-level learners. You should have completed an intermediate Latin course to do this course. If you’re not sure whether advanced Latin is right for you, feel free to check with our staff who will be happy to advise you.
