Take your writing skills to the next level with these ESOL classes. Improve your written English and feel more confident in a variety of everyday situations. This ESOL writing course can teach you important skills to study or write good CVs and job applications. This ESOL entry 3 writing course builds on skills you learnt at entry 2. Expand your understanding of how to create well-structured texts and polish your spelling and grammar. This is an English course for adults. It is aimed at speakers of other languages. ESOL courses are divided into three areas: reading, writing, and speaking & listening. If you’re helping others access ESOL classes in the UK, you’ve come to the right place.

Course description

What we’ll cover

  • Learn to plan and write a text using a structure

  • Understand how to order a short text using paragraphs

  • Improve your writing style by using conjunctions to create compound sentences

  • Understand prefixes and suffixes and how word families are built from one root

  • Understand the difference between adverbs, nouns, and verbs when exploring word families

  • Learn to identify and correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation mistakes in a text.

This is an ESOL skills for life entry 3 course for adults. You will continue to develop your writing skills.

You need prior writing skills to take this course, that’s why you’ll do a skills check to enrol. Don’t worry, this isn’t an exam. It’s for us to make sure you get on the right course for you.

Our friendly team will contact you to start your skills check as part of your booking.

When you complete this module, you can continue with other ESOL courses at entry 3 level. Once you finish the reading, writing, and speaking & listening courses, you can progress to level 1 courses.

There are also “Get Ready” courses between each module to prepare you for the next course.

What to expect

This entry 3 ESOL writing course takes around 110 hours to complete.

Please note that you’ll need an internet connection to study this English course. This is so you can access our digital learning platform, Canvas.
