Entry Levels 1,2,3: If you have never studied this subject before and you’re not confident in your skills, Entry levels are a good starting point.
Level 1: Covers basic skills and knowledge needed for this subject
Level 2: Building on basic knowledge or experience. Similar to Grade 4/ C at GCSE or O level in England or Standards in Scotland.
Level 3: Learn about the topic in-depth and have a broad range of skills. Independent working Equivalent to an A level in England or Higher in Scotland.
Beginners: A perfect introduction if you have no experience and skills in this subject.
Improvers: The next step if you have basic skills or knowledge but want to progress them further.
Advanced: Build on the solid experience and skills you have in this subject, applying your skills and knowledge in a more complex way.

The Entry Level Digital Skills for ESOL course is specifically designed for English language learners who are new to using digital technology. This course provides a supportive and interactive environment where you can develop essential digital skills while improving your English language abilities.
Additionally, this course emphasises language support, helping you understand and use the English terminology associated with digital technology. Our experienced tutors will guide you through each step, offering personalised feedback and support to ensure you gain confidence in both your digital and language skills.
By the end of the course, you will be able to perform everyday digital tasks with ease and have a better understanding of how to use technology to support your learning and personal goals. Whether you aim to improve your employability, assist your children with their homework, or simply become more comfortable using digital tools, the Entry Level Digital Skills for ESOL course provides a strong foundation to help you succeed.
You’ll need access to the internet to take this course as your tutor will upload useful materials to Canvas, the WEA’s digital learning platform. You’ll also need a digital device such as a laptop, tablet, or phone.
