The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority was established on 3 March 2017 as a Mayoral Combined Authority for the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough region
The Combined Authority collaborates with local councils, the Business Board, public services, government departments, universities, and businesses to support both the local and national economy. The authority is led by a directly elected Mayor and includes the following seven local authorities:
- Cambridge City Council
- Cambridgeshire County Council
- East Cambridgeshire District Council
- Fenland District Council
- Huntingdonshire District Council
- Peterborough City Council
- South Cambridgeshire District Council
